Sikkim lying in the northeast of India, bordered by the Bhutan, Tibet and Nepal experienced snowfall on Friday. It is also the host to Kanchungunja, the highest peak in India and third highest, at 8,586 meters.

Apart from all these, Sikkim is also famous for its biodiversity, including alpine and subtropical climates. Almost 35% of the state is covered by the Khangchendzonga National Park.
A series of pictures posted online shows, the scenic beauty of Sikkim covered in snow. This beauty received great appreciation from people who were mesmorized by seeing the lands of Sikkim all white tagging it as “The Winter Wonderland of India” while being covered in snow.

However the Nathula Pass is said to be closed today, for the snowfall alert at Sikkim’s Tsomgo Lake.
