Five people were killed in Sydney, on Saturday, at the Sprawling Westflied Bondi Junction mall complex, when it was fully packed with shoppers.The Australian Police said, the unidentified assailant was shot dead at the scene, after they stabbed multiple people, which resulted in killing them.
New South Wales Police Assistant, Anthony Cooke said “The motive for this is yet not clear, but terrorism, could not be ruled out at this stage”.
“I do not know at this stage who he is. You would understand this is quite raw. Inquiries are very new and we are continuing to make attempts to identify the offender in this matter,” said Cooke.
As of now, the security cameras broadcasted by local media channels shows, a man wearing an Australian rugby jersey and running around the shopping mall with a large knife in his hands.
