The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) has unveiled the much-awaited results of the Uccha Madhyamik (Class 12) exams for the year 2024. In a significant achievement, Abhik Das clinched the top position by securing an outstanding 99.2% marks, with a remarkable score of 496 out of 500. Following closely behind, Saumyadeep Saha secured the second position with an impressive 99% marks. The top 10 list boasted 58 brilliant examinees, showcasing the caliber and dedication of West Bengal’s students.

The results further highlighted the strong performance across different streams, with the Science stream achieving an impressive pass percentage of 97.19%, Commerce at 96%, and Arts/Humanities at 88.02%. Moreover, the statistics revealed a notable distribution of high scorers, with 40.92% of students securing 60% and above, and 22.38% achieving 70% and above. The availability of hard copies of mark sheets and pass certificates from various distribution centers, along with a result tatkal service for revaluation requests, adds convenience and accessibility for students and their families.

With the Class 12 board exams conducted across over 2,675 exam centers, encompassing 7,55,324 regular candidates, the results underscored the academic prowess and diligence exhibited by the state’s student community. Notably, in terms of gender performance, boys surpassed girls in 2023, showcasing a pass rate of 91.86% compared to girls’ 87.26%. These results not only celebrate individual achievements but also reflect the collective dedication and resilience of West Bengal’s educational ecosystem.
