“Addressing the distinction between gaming and gambling” :PM Modi interacts with gaming influencers.

In a recent video posted by PM Narendra Modi on April 13th, shows him having an interaction with some online gaming influencers, addressing the distinction between gaming and gambling.

These gaming influences were:-

Trith Mehta- Achieved a remarkable feat by winning a bronze medal in Hearthstone at the 2018 Asian Games, held in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Animesh Agarwal- Also known as 8bit Thug, is the founder and CEO of 8Bit creatives, India’s leading E-Sports consultinh and talent agency.

Anshu Bisht- Aka GamerFleet is from Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India.


Naman Mathur- Aka Mortal, is among YouTube’s most successful live streamers of the year.


Mithilesh Patankar- Aka Mythpat, has over 14million subscribes on YouTube.

Ganesh Gangadhar- Ganesh “SkRossi” Gangadhar is an Ondian Player who is currently playinh for Revenant E-Sports.

Payal Dhare- Payal Dhare, also known as “Payal Gaming”, she won the Dynamic Gaming Creator of the year 2023 and is one of India’s most popular female game creators. 

According to a recent FICCI-EY report, Online gaming has overtaken filmed entertainment to become the fourth largest segment. India has 450 million gamers, with over 90 million paid to play. Gaming appears to provide an income to more Indians than manufacturing.

Mr. Modi discussed the distinction between, gaming and gambling, something that video game developers have been keen on disambiguating over the last year. Mr. Agarwal, also known as 8bitthug, said to the Prime Misniater, “We need to separate [real money gaming] and skill based gaming,”.

The infulencers further said that “meeting the PM was a lovely experience and they never thought they’ll get such an opportunity like today”.
