Chirag Antil a 24 year old, Indian student was shot dead inside a car in the South of Vancouver Canada.
In a recent statement the Vancouver Police said that, he was found dead by them when neighbour’s heard a gun shot and informed them.

Officers were called at East 55th Avenue, on the 12th of April on 11pm, after neighbours heard the gunshots, when Chirag Antil was found dead inside his Audi. As of now no arrests have been made and the investigations are going on.
His elder brother Ronit Antil, said that he seemed happy when they talked to him in the morning. But later took out his car to go somewhere, which is when this incident took place.
Chirag’s parents have appealed for help from the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and External Affair Minister S Jaishankar to help them bring their son’s body back to India.

In neighbouring US, 11 Indian and Indian-origin students have died since January this year. The US, however, remains a favoured destination for Indian students looking to pursue higher education. According to the US, over 2.6 lakh Indian students came to the country in the 2022-2023 academic session.
