Forced to make an Emergency landing with 179 people on board, after Air India flight burst into flames.

An engine of Air India plane flying from Pune to Kochi, caught fire and burst into flames with 179 people on board, after 10mins it took off on Saturday evening, which was forced to make an Emergency landing.

This was the second time Air India showcased scares for its passengers. Earlier this on May 17, one of its Bengaluru-bound planes had returned to Delhi after a fire warning from its auxiliary power unit, which had around 175 passengers.

However, according to an Air India’s Express Spokesperson “the crew accomplished the evacuation with no injuries to any guests”.
Along with this the officials added “A thorough investigation with the regulator shall be accomplished to establish the cause of this fire”.
