After a recent drone and missile strike, Iranian officials have sent a strong warning to Israel, saying that they are ready to employ previously untested weapons in reaction to any possible Israeli reprisal. This speech was delivered by Abolfazl Amouei, the spokesman for the National Security Committee of the Iranian Parliament. He emphasized Iran’s strategic preparations for a range of eventualities and urged Israel to exercise caution in determining its course of action.
Abolfazl Amoui, the spokesperson for Iran’s National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, stated that since Tehran initiated a new round of aggression against Israel, Tehran has been ready to utilize weaponry it has never used before in an interview with the Iran-aligned Lebanese news organization Al-Mayadeen News. “We will confront and counter any aggression from Israel. We are prepared to employ previously unseen weaponry. We urge the Zionists to behave sanely and we have preparations for every eventuality,” Amoui stated.
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Amir Abdollahian expressed similar views in the face of rising tensions, warning Israel against engaging in more aggression and reiterating Iran’s right to self-defense. Raisi suggested that there might be a harsh reaction, but Abdollahian presented Iran’s actions as justified acts of self-defense.
Israel, meanwhile, remains on high alert, with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu convening his war cabinet to deliberate on potential responses to Iran’s recent attack. Israeli officials have pledged retaliation but are also wary of sparking a full-scale conflict with Iran.
