At least 10 schools in Kanpur have received bomb threats through email.

This has caused a major panic among people in Kanpur on Friday. Apart from Kanpur, these emails have been received in several cities, including Delhi and Bangalore. According to reports, the email servers are located in Russia.
According to Joint Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Harish Chandra, Kanpur police have received information about bomb threats to various schools. The cyber cell is investigating the matter. All officials have been instructed to carefully monitor CCTV footage to establish links between the emails.
In addition to this incident, eight schools, including the popular hospital Shringeri St. Philomena in Bangalore, also received bomb threat emails, which later turned out to be hoaxes.
